How much of the household income depends on you personally still working?
Is there income protection in place, so something keeps paying if you cannot work?
If the worst happened, is there cover that would clear the mortgage and keep the household going?
If you were out of the business for six months, what would happen to its income?
Is there cover in place for the business itself, such as key person or shareholder protection?
When did you last properly review your mortgage rate against the market?
If the mortgage payment rose by a fifth, how would the household feel it?
Is money going into a pension or long term savings regularly?
Are the basics in place: a will, a lasting power of attorney, and nominations on your pensions?
